拍品花口折沿，造型别致。盘内外均以青花绘饰，盘心绘一朵缠枝牡丹，花朵硕大丰丽，枝叶舒展缠绕，周围环以西番莲纹、如意云头纹与锦地朵花纹；外壁环绘牡丹、莲荷等四季花卉，均与枝蔓围拢作朵花之形，间以云头纹，别具意趣。花团锦簇，构图精妙，疏繁有致，青花发色雅致柔和，殊堪赏玩。
纽约苏富比曾于1983年拍出一只十六世纪青花团花纹菱口盘，其形制、纹饰均与拍品相同，可资参阅。
