A Chinese Blue and White Jar The rounded sides rising from a wide flat base, decorated in shades of underglaze blue with a continuous scene of bamboo and prunus issuing from rockwork and two expressively painted small birds in flight, the base unglazed. Period: Shunzhi (1644‑1661). Height: 19 cm.
