Wilhelm Binder, a German Art Nouveau silver and cut glass tazza, c.1900, stamped with German crescent moon and crown, 925, and makers marks for Wilhelm Binder, and 'Sterling silver', The cut glass bowl supported on a silver stem with branch-like arms and embellished with stylised flowers and tendrils, 24 cm high, 26.5 cm diameterSilver: One of the branches that supports the glass has a couple of indentations on it and this has opened the join on the inside of it. Some tiny abrasions here and there and light natural wear. Tarnished. Glass: it is possible that the glass might be a marriage because it is cut and more conventional in style, but on the other hand it may be original as it fits very well and may have been made for a more conservative market. Overall condition good.
