A MUGHAL KHANJAR WITH 'IBEX' JADEITE HANDLEIndia, Oudh region, 18th - 19th century. The Khanjar with a jadeite handle carved in the shape of an ibex head and engraved with a stylized flower design, further inlaid with garnet cabochons set in gold fillets. The large, curved blade in Damascus steel and the heel engraved in gold koftgari with floral scrolls.Provenance: French private collection.Condition: Good condition, loss to the tip of the blade, restoration to the back of the blade, the handle with few encrustations.Weight: 433 gDimensions: Length 42.8 cm
