此炉造型承袭自商周时期青铜礼器簋，铜质精良，入手沉坠，包浆醇厚。撇口鼓腹，双兽鋬耳，下有珥垂，上饰以勾云纹，簋腹饰以变形饕餮纹、凤鸟纹等，两出戟，主体线条错金装饰，抽象神秘，细弦纹、几何纹、兽面纹、动物纹等美轮美奂，华丽异常，底足饰以蟠虺纹，点错金。腹内有一字铭文，底足有仿商周网格底，整体形制融合商周纹饰与晚明风格，庄严饱满，凝重含蓄，颇有几分上古青铜器古拙大雅之势。
