此柜通体以紫檀为材，用料考究，纹理细腻，包浆自然。柜呈方形，上有顶箱，下有竖柜，设对开柜门，柜门铜活做工精致，满刻缠枝花卉纹，精美典雅，颇为考究。门板嵌以黄杨木雕夔龙纹装饰，纹饰布局对称规整，极富装饰性，正面及侧面牙板起线装饰回纹，线条简洁流畅，柜身侧板起线，光素舒朗。此顶箱柜整体造型沉稳，比例匀称，小器大样，应为搁置案头盛放书卷、文房之类，颇有宫廷之风。
