此件炉顶选用上等和阗白玉雕成，玉质细腻凝润，局部带有黄沁。整体采用圆雕兼具镂空技法，主体作一雄性鸳鸯，鸳鸯头顶长羽冠，昂首挺胸，翎羽张扬，双翼后张，尾翎分开。口中衔有一束莲花，莲花瓣朵张开，中间露出莲蓬。底部衬有一大片覆面的荷叶，叶片下弧而卷沿，底面形成拱顶，两侧各有一对牛鼻穿孔，用以连接炉盖。整器造型优美，纹饰流畅婉转，具有典型的元代特征，是一件难得的玉炉顶精品。来源：国营文物公司。
