此件玉洗以和阗白玉雕琢而成，玉色洁白，质地滋润，局部受沁呈红褐色。器体为椭圆形，敞口、折沿、斜腹，器腹中部及底部各雕一条凸棱，平底，下承对称的梯形四足。洗内深膛，胎壁光滑。器体一侧高浮雕一童子，手持灵芝奋力攀爬于器壁之上。童子圆头鼓脑，头饰桃型发髻，眼、鼻、口连于一体，双耳贴于脸侧，眉开眼笑。身着束腰长衫，足蹬洗壁，攀爬十分有力。整器构思巧妙，造型独特，艺术性极强，具有元明时期玉雕风格特征，下配有红木底座，收藏陈设俱佳。
