此件盖盒采用上等和阗白玉琢刻而成，玉质滋润洁白。以精工雕成葫芦形，一剖为二分为盖、身，子母口扣合。盖上浮雕一枚小葫芦，圆润饱满，旁缀以繁茂枝叶蜿蜒缠绕，线条劲挺，叶脉清晰分明，象形生动。葫芦谐音“福禄”，又形似“吉”字，寓意大吉大利，福禄万代，故葫芦之形制颇受清代皇室喜爱。此件盖盒雕工精致，与整体造型、气韵相得益彰，既显示了玉制品的华贵精美，又透露出厚重沉稳的古朴意韵，具有极强的装饰性和实用、收藏价值。
