A SMALL JADEITE 'CHILONG' WASHER, LATE QING TO REPUBLIC China, 1860-1940. Of compressed globular form with a wide mouth, the sides carved in openwork and high relief with two sinuous chilong and lingzhi encircling the body with one sprig hanging over the rim. The translucent stone of an attractive pale grayish-white tone with faint lavender shadings and distinct areas of emerald green.

Provenance: From an estate in Boston, USA.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor old wear and microscopic nicks here and there.

中國，1860-1940年。玉質細膩，表面油潤，透明度極佳，翠中飄紫。水洗外壁以浮雕、鏤雕等技法雕琢雙螭龍口銜靈芝；螭龍體態矯健，雙目圓睜，身軀扭轉攀爬於水洗腹壁之上。全器造型優雅端莊，洗內膛掏打磨圓潤勻稱。
