A JIZHOU 'TORTOISESHELL' GLAZED TEA BOWL, SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY China, 1127-1279. The deep rounded sides flaring out from a narrow base, covered inside and out with a matte dark brown glaze splashed in amber tones to one side, reminiscent of tortoise shell, stopping above the foot to reveal the buff body fired to a slightly pale orange.

Provenance: From the collection of an important German scholar, assembled between 1961 and 1966, and thence by descent in the same family.
Condition: Good condition with some old wear and manufacturing flaws, such as slight warping, light surface scratches, a small repair to the rim.

南宋吉州窯玳瑁釉盞
中國，1127-1279年。玳瑁盞敞口，斜壁，小圈足，內外施黑釉為底釉，釉面上呈現黃色結晶斑紋，盞外近底一圈及足無釉。

來源：德國重要學者舊藏，收藏建於1961 至1966年間，自此保存在同一家族至今。
品相：品相良好，有磨損和製造缺陷，例如輕微的翹曲，表面淺劃痕，邊緣有小修復。
