A GUAN-TYPE SQUARE VASE, 19TH CENTURY China. The mallet-form body supported on a short tapered foot and rising to a straight square neck with an everted lip, covered overall in a thick bluish glaze suffused with transparent and golden-brown crackle, the foot rim left unglazed.

Provenance: Austrian trade.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and firing flaws. Old label to base with short Japanese inscription, 'No. R5 12 pcs […]'.
