'LADIES IN THE PALACE GARDEN', IMPERIAL SCHOOL, QING DYNASTY China, 18^th-19^th century. Ink and watercolors on silk, with a silk brocade frame and mounted as a hanging scroll. Depicting two court ladies in a garden setting, one dressed in a blue robe and holding a fan, the other wearing a white robe, the two ladies immersed in conversation, standing in front of a desk with tea utensils, books, and a red vase, framed by blossoming trees, craggy rockwork, and a fence.

Inscriptions: Lower left, two seals, one reading 'Siwei shuwu'.

Provenance: British trade.
Condition: Good condition with minor wear, few stains, few small tears and creases, a minor split to the silk with associated small losses.

中國，十八至十九世紀，絹本設色，掛軸。畫園林中的兩位仕女，一位身著藍衣，手持扇子，置於身後；一位身著白衣。兩人似乎正在交談中，身邊一張書桌，上面擺放著茶具、書籍和一個紅色的花瓶 ，周圍可見花朵盛開的花樹，假山和圍欄。設色妍麗。
