A LARGE CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN DISH, QING DYNASTY, KANGXI PERIOD, 1662 – 1722 清 康熙西厢记圖纹盤 The interior painted with a medallion enclosing a scene from the ‘Romance of the Western Chamber’ with military figures and a maiden in a rocky landscape, all within a broad flaring rim painted with six flower-filled quatrefoil panels reserved on a dense diaper ground, the exterior with two stylised landscape scenes, the base inscribed with an apocryphal Chenghua six-character mark Diameter: 32.5cm Condition Report The dish has two circa 5cm glaze firing lines to the interior and one 3.5cm line to the base, a 5mm diameter area of glaze misfire to the interior and light glaze scratches.
