Description A LOT WITH THREE COPPER AND BRASS TSUBA, 19th CENTURYJapan, 19th centuryThe first two tsuba of a tate-maru-gata shape, the copper tsuba worked in iroe-takazogan with gold and silver details and waves in katakiri, depicting woven bales in the water. The brass tsuba with two hitsu, displaying a forest scene with cranes and chicks executed in silvered takazogan, bearing an incised artist signature. The third tsuba of a mokko-gata form crafted from copper, bearing a nanako ground with one hitsu and an open section as it is typical for hamidashi tsuba, crafted as well in takazogan with gilt inlays depicting a small floral composition and insects. DIAMETER 3.7 cm to 7.5 cm WEIGHT (total) 406 g Condition: Good condition with minor surface wear, and light surface scratches.
