Description A LOT WITH FOUR IRON TSUBA, EDO PERIODJapan, Edo period (1615-1868)Three tsuba of a tate-maru-gata shape worked in gold, copper and silver iro-e takazogan, the first tsuba with two gold rimmed hitsu, one of them plugged, depicting a man sitting underneath a branch with a closed parasol next to him. The second tsuba with one hitsu, displaying a scene below a towering pine tree with the lucky god Fukurokuju wearing a demon mask and a boy. The third tsuba with one hitsu, crafted in gold, silver and copper iro-e takazogan, bearing hardstone inlays, depicting a blooming tree. The last tsuba of mokko-gata form, the two hitsu plugged, portraying wild horses galloping on grassland. DIAMETER 6.3 cm to 7.5 cm WEIGHT (total) 482 g Condition: Good condition with surface wear, and light surface scratches.
