AN ARCHAISTIC JADE CARVING OF A CICADA, QINGChina, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or earlier. Finely carved in the archaistic style as a cicada with folded veiny wings and incised with archaistic motifs, the translucent stone is of celadon tone with extensive opaque dark brown inclusions, with two pierced drillings for suspension.
