A carved schist figure of a bodhisattva standing with nimbus behind the head, elaborate headdress, urna to the brow, tight-fitting robe with swag of beads to the neck, left hand resting on the hip, right leg crossed; mounted on a custom-made stand. 5 kg, 60cm including stand (23 1/2"). Property of a North London gentleman; acquired on the UK art market before 2000. Fair condition.
