A ceramic horse and rider figurine on a rectangular base, the stout horse with elaborate bridle and tack, long saddle-cloth decorated with incised lines; the rider wearing a black flowing tunic, right hand raised with an open palm, separately-cast head with black wide-brimmed hat. 2.9 kg, 35cm (13 3/4"). From a private UK collection, acquired on the London art market 1990-2000. Finely modelled.
