Early 4th century BC. A Chalcidian helmet formed as a bronze bowl with carination to the crown, flared edges at the ear openings and above the eyes; a short nasal with flared rim and rear flange neck-guard; the cheek pieces connected to the bowl by a five-part hinge, each D-shaped with contoured forward edge.
