14th-15th century AD. An iron sword comprising a broad triangular blade with rounded tip and fuller to the upper third of each face, broad tang, truncated disc pommel with boss to each broad face, later(?) S-curved tongue-shaped quillons with stepped central panel. Cf. Dufty, A.,R. From an important English collection; acquired in the 1990s. Fine condition.
