A silver-gilt buckle comprising: D-shaped loop with running scrolls to the outer face, triangular-section tongue with beast-head finial, lozengiform plate with raised rim and scroll detailing, beast-head finial, lateral lobes with inset cloison garnets and on similar to the centre. 110 grams, 12cm (4 3/4"). From an old European collection; acquired in Munich in the 1970s. [No Reserve]Fine condition.
