Dimensions: 1-1/4" H x 8-3/4" Diam. Chinese Qing Dynasty Period Kangxi tribute to Chenghua into a red plate. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, of a shallow vessel, broad wide cavetto, with a wide flared lip and shallow draft, raised on a slightly raised footing ring. The exterior masterfully covered in an even coat of a deep iron red glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white underglaze. The blue glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the receded central interior base left white underglaze.
