A German silver-inlaid rapier, circa 1600 The narrow thrusting blade of flattened diamond section with a sturdy ricasso. The blackened iron knuckle-bow hilt with a pattern of scales and decorative tendrils inlaid in silver on the obverse (minor defects, pitting here and there). The grip cover with original winding of iron wire and chiselled grip ferrules. The slightly conical, cylindrical pommel entirely decorated with silver inlays. The offset, riveted button with old rivets. Length 127.5 cm.Condition: II - III
