Long hexagonal ricasso with finely etched decoration and Latin inscription "Gloria virtutem sequitur - virtus funeri superstes". Iron Pappenheim hilt with s-shaped quillons of quadrangular section, on both sides large guard plates with fine openwork and additional guard plates on the sides of the hilt. Fullered grip with fine iron wire wrap and Turks’ heads. Octagonal, mushroom-shaped pommel. Length 107 cm.Rare, early practice weapon used for fencing lessons.Condition: II
