With this portrait, the artist Carlos Blanco shows us his meditated study on the decomposition and reconfiguration of the human being, deforming the face and body of the protagonist by means of cubist planes and profiles that draw from the art of George Condo. Despite the inheritance acquired from the Vanguards and American artistic influences, Blanco has created his own language and way of seeing that has made him one of the most relevant artists on the Spanish art scene today. His gesture, expression and the use of attenuated colour, generate a unique imaginary through which he creates totally new and significant images for his vocabulary and creative process. He has exhibited in museums, galleries and institutions in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Hong Kong, Paris, the Philippines, Zaragoza, Barcelona and Madrid, and has also participated in the Venice Biennale (2022) and Florence (2021), as well as in the V Biennale Cromatica at the Museo de Orense (2018). His works can be found in important collections such as those of the American musician Allen Stone, the philosopher Fernando Savater, the Chiu Chien Chang Collection in Taiwan and the multimillionaire Richard Magides, who has several of his works in his collections in Singapore and New Zealand. He is also in public and private collections in New York, Japan, Mexico, Los Angeles, Miami, Austria, Madrid, Bilbao, Mallorca, Santander, Australia, Libya, New Zealand, Illinois, Cologne, Malta, Taiwan, Wisconsin, Milan, Monaco, Paris and London.
