With a totally recognizable style, the children who star in Dong Mingguang s sculptures emerge from an innocent world, although one full of violence, deception and materialism. The multiplicity of characters that, as a series, display their sculptures, allude to the resurgence of Chinese power. With his works, Mingguang expresses the anxiety of a country and its people. Trained in photography and sculpture, Mingguang combines his work as an artist with teaching at the Shandong Art College sculpture center. Graduated in sculpture from Shandong Art College in China, Mingguang is a member of the Chinese Artists Association and Chinese Sculpture Institute.
