A large Chinese cinnabar lacquer circular 'Dragon' box and cover , 18th century, the cover carved with a sinuous dragon leaping amidst wave scrolls, surrounded by a peony scroll on the sloping sides above further floral motifs at the rims of both box and cover, the peony scroll repeated on the tapered sides of the box, above the circular foot ring, approximately 33.5cm wide x 17.4cm high 18世纪 剔红海水云龙纹圆盖盒 Condition Report: several cracks to cover and some lacquer missing on edges base in better condition with some minor cracks and chips and possible old repairs
