Description: 19th Century antique Chinese jade ceremonial libation cup, carved unto a bell shaped vessel, with flared rim elevated from steep sides and narrow cavetto, raised upon three cabriole legs. The dome lid crowned with dog finial. An open-works carved archaic dragon flanked on one side creates handle, well balanced with over hung flared spout on opposite side. The exterior carved in shallow relief with band of archaic geometrical pattern. The jade shows pale-creme color with attractive sporadic golden russet natural inclusions. The ceremonial libation cup preciously displayed upon an orange-red silk covered hard-cushion stand.
