Description: The first small vase features two different miniature paintings. In one is a sansui-style landscape with a tall cliff, on top of which is a lookout pavilion, as well as water and boats. The other scene features multiple bijin along with some girls. The filler spaces are decorated with nishikide, the neck with a composition of blossoms. The second of very distinctive form on a tall, widely flared foot. The picturesque decoration features a composition with numerous blossoms, many painted in red and gold, which runs around the vase. The borders have geometric patterning. On the bottom is the signature GYOKUZAN 玉 山 painted in gold. The last small vase, approximately ovoid in shape. The lip of the flared mouth is gilded. Beneath a tree, the branches of which extend downwards, sit two bijin in a field, two “beauties”. Their loose robes have finely painted golden patterns. In the foot, which is surrounded by a wavy border, and below the satsuma cross are the characters for the name SHUZAN 珠 山. Condition: Good condition Provenance: From an Austrian private collection
