Description: Vase similar in form to the Chinese meiping. Beautiful, arched curve, marked shoulder, no neck, the bulging lip protruding. Running around the vase is the painting of a willow (yanagi), the deeply hanging branches full of red blossoms. All contours in gold. On the bottom is the framed signature SEN-RITSU 川 栗 tsukuru 造 (a third character, after ritsu, is unclear). Condition: Restored break on the lip Provenance: From an Austrian private collection
