Description: The two writing tables covered in black polished lacquer and decorated in gold hiramaki-e with scrolling vines and flowers. The suzuribako of rounded rectangular form, decorated on the cover in gold hiramaki-e lacquer with floral motifs and scrolling vines, continued on the exterior walls. The interior lid is lacquered in gold with floral designs and signed YO-YU-SAI 羊 游 齋 after a painting by Hoitsu抱 筆; fitted with a rectangular inkstone, a water vessel (the water dropper lid is missing) one kiri (pricker), and two brushes.
