Description: Blade: Hira-tsukuri form with iorimune. Masame-hada and gunomehamon. The tang (nakago) ubu features mekugiana, its tip kurijiri, sujikai-yasurime. Mounting: Japan, 18th to 19th century Shiny black lacquer saya, the kozuka featuring plum blossoms and a (slightly indented) heron (sagi). The oval tsuba is made of iron and has one hitsu. Bronze fuchi and kashira, the fuchi featuring blossoms. One of the menuki depicts the zen patriarch Daruma, the other blossoms. With a stand.
