Celadon, brown and black mottled jade, smooth surface polish China, Ming Dynasty This auspicious jade figurine of a recumbent ram shows classical Ming Dynasty style. The animal is shown with its legs tucked under the body and with straight horns that are stretching along the back. The ram is holding the stem of a lingzhi spray in its mouth and the fungus is carved in high relief to one side.
