幹隆 碧玉蓋爐 A Chinese 3-part spinach jade incense burner dating from the Qianlong period. The censer includes a lid, liner, and tripod body. The lid is carved with a dragon finial with stylized phoenixes in a surrounding band. The liner is a simple ring meant to fit the lid to the censer body. The censer body is carved with 2 fish dragon heads with engaged rings, guardian lion heads and legs or feet, and taotie masks around the body. There is a banana leaf border at the bottom and a Greek key border at the top. Dimensions are: 5 inches tall X 7 1/2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
