Dimensions: Height: 27.5 cm, Length: 20cm, Width: 16cm Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong celadon Amphora vase. This vase has a flaring mouth-rim, a long cylindrical neck, a sloping shoulder with elephant head grip, a downward tapering drum abdomen, and a ring splayed foot. The body of the vase is entirely covered in simple and pure Douqing glaze. All reserved in an even coat of a pale green glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. The deep green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, Made In The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
