The porcelain potted in bile bottle shape vase, ovoid lower belly, thick, shoulder tapering to straight long cylindrical neck, round mouth lip, raised on short splayed footing with slightly concave foot base. The interior, exterior are both covered in tea dust. Tea powder glaze is one of the important varieties of iron crystal glaze in ancient China. The glaze color is yellow green and mixed like tea powder. Green is called tea, yellow is called powder. Covered overall in iridescent Green pale, gilt splashes and streaks characteristic of this glaze are described as yao bian, or transmutation glaze and resulting from transmutation of colloidal copper, iron, or other metallic materials into suffusions breaking up the glaze surface.
