A Wucai ‘Dragon and Phoenix’ Bowl The rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a gently flared rim, painted to the exterior with a green and a red dragon striding amidst floral sprays in pursuit of ’flaming pearls’, divided by a pair of swooping phoenix, all below a band of ’Eight Buddhist Emblems’ interspersed with ruyi emblems, the interior with a central medallion enclosing a dragon and a ’flaming pearl’, the base glazed and with a six-character seal mark of Qianlong in underglaze blue. Period: Qianlong (1736-1795). Diameter: 15 cm.
