Seven fuchi-gashira (hilt collars and pommels) Edo period (1615-1868), 18th to 19th century Four of shakudo, two of shibuichi, and one of copper, decorated in a variety of chiselling and inlay techniques, the first with ise-ebi (spiny lobsters), with signature Iwamoto Konkan and a kao; the second with spiders and webs; the third with sea fish and bamboo, signed Gyounsai Oho; the fourth with carp and weeds, signed Tokuno Terutoki [Terutatsu] with a kao; the fifth with insects, signed Otsuryuren Miboku; the sixth with a butterfly and grasshopper; the last with sea fish.
