An inlaid shakudo rectangular box and cover By Kageyasu for the Nogawa Company, Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century The rectangular cover decorated with two geese in flight against the full moon, inlaid in high relief of gilt and silver, the bottom right corner signed with chiselled characters Kageyasu with a kao; the base stamped with the Nogawa Company mark. 3cm x 10.8cm x 7.7cm (1¼in x 4¼in x 3in).
