A bronze okimono group of two akodai (rose fish) lying on seashells Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century Naturalistically cast and chiselled, modelled with two distinctive rose fishes, the largest one with its mouth exaggeratedly open, both lying over assorted small clam shells, a large sazae (horned turban shell) at the front; unsigned. 6.5cm x 19cm (2 5/8in x 7½in).
