Two embroidered silk panels Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century Each worked in predominantly silk and cotton threads with a dove in flight among blooming chrysanthemums, thistles, morning glories and irises beneath trailing wisteria on a red silk ground; one panel signed Keibun hitsu (Brushed by Keibun) with seal Keibun. Each panel: 330.5cm x 113.5cm (130 1/8in x 44½in). (2). 注脚 Please refer to the footnote in the preceding lot. The signature indicates the work is embroidered after a design by the well-known bird-and-flower painter Matsumura Keibun (1779-1843).
