A Victorian provincial sterling silver goblet, Exeter possibly 1875 by Josiah Williams & Co Of rounded circular form upon a spreading pedestal foot. A vacant oval cartouche with shaped edge, surrounded by engraved decoration of foliage scrolls and foliage. Gilt interior. Fully marked to side, date letter distorted. Height – 14.8 cm / 5.75 inches Weight – 153 grams / 4.92 ozt It is rather rare to find Victorian holloware marked for Exeter (which closed in 1883).
