An early Victorian sterling silver small inkstand, Birmingham 1838 by Joseph Wilmore of rectangular form with a die stamped and pierced rim of thistles, clovers, and roses as flowers of the United Kingdom, all raised on four twin leaf feet. The inner section with a central divider into three square sections, fitted with two Bristol blue glass bottle, with die stamped and rolled pull-off lids. The pen section engraved with a presentation inscription reading “Presented to the Revd James Waster MA by the teachers of the parish church Sunday school Chorley as a token of esteem for his unabated zeal and indefatigable labours as there minister, August 1844â€.
