Mirror frame; Spain. circa 1810. Carved wood, ebonised and gilded. It presents faults in the ebonising, and it does not have a moon. Measurements: 155 x 121 x 19 cm; 95,5 x 78 cm (light). Adapted frame of neoclassical style made of ebonised wood and decorated with gilded elements of the wood. It follows a clearly architectural structure, with refined, clean and markedly geometric lines, typical of classicist aesthetics. It stands out for the capital and the pilasters that follow the main lines of the structure, shaped according to a clearly classical criterion of order and clarity. The carved busts that are supposed to be on the upper part of the steppe pilasters stand out. Continuing with the architectural inspiration, the frame has a base and a lintel with an ornamental vegetal design.
