A LARGE PAIR OF HEXAGONAL CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL VASESChina, Republic period (1912-1949). Of hexagonal baluster form and finely decorated in bright enamels over a light blue ground with cranes, phoenixes, and other birds amid blossoming branches, the waisted neck with stylized bats, foliate scrolls and ruyi-shaped decoration, the foot with similar décor. The undersides impressed with an apocryphal Xuande Nianzhi mark.Condition: Good condition with minor wear and manufacturing irregularities including expected pitting, small nicks to enamels and rims.
