AN ARCHAISTIC BRONZE RITUAL VESSEL, DING, QING DYNASTYChina, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The deep, rounded body, comprising three joint lobed sections, flanked by two U-shaped loop handles, and supported by three columnar legs. The exterior cast with archaistic motifs and three taotie masks in relief, with long curled horns, bulging eyes, and rounded nostrils, all against a leiwen ground as well as a leiwen band below the rim, and with an incised inscription to the neck.Condition: Good condition with traces of wear and age, minor losses, nicks and cracks, casting irregularities, and extensive malachite encrustations.
