A LOT WITH FOUR HARDSTONE INSET SILVER RINGSHimalayan region and Persia, 19th century and earlier. The silver rings decorated with carved geometric designs and silver applications, one worked in damascene, all inset with hardstones. One is inset with a large buddha eye agate stone featuring brown and white concentrical circumferences. The second is set with a lapis lazuli and the third with a light blue glass cabochon, the last inset with a white stone intaglio incised with the profile of a man. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear. With few losses to the damascened areas. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Dr. István Zelnik, President of the Hungarian South and Southeast Asian Research Institute, is a former high-ranking Hungarian diplomat who spent several decades in Southeast Asia, building the largest known private collection of Asian art in Europe.
