A THANGKA OF BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI, 19TH CENTURYTibet. Distemper on cloth, with a silk brocade frame, mounted as a hanging scroll with wood handles. Painted in vibrant colors depicting Buddha Shakyamuni seated in dhyanasana on a lotus throne, surrounded by the 16 Arhats as well as Hvashang and Dharmatala, above him in the zenith Vajrasattva yab-yum, below him the four kings of heaven. With inscriptions to the backside.Condition: Good condition with wear, soiling, minor creasing, few losses and some touch-ups.
