A POTTERY FIGURE OF A WARRIOR, HAN DYNASTYChina, Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). The figure standing and wearing a robe with long sleeves, with one arm raised and painted in red and black over white slip. Condition: Good condition, commensurate with age, with repairs as expected from Han dynasty excavations. The attributes he was holding lost, wear to the pigments, encrustations, and minor chips. Provenance: From an Austrian private collection, acquired at Galerie Zacke in 2000. A copy of the certificate (including various TL tests from samples taken from other pottery warriors, offered at the time) issued in the year 2000 by Galerie Zacke accompanies this lot.
